Rules
1. There will be one league covering all age groups.

2. This league will not affect the Games established competitions which will run as normal.

3. Where there is a 'Confined to Perthshire' already at the Games, the points from the 'Confined to Perthshire' section only will count towards the league.

4. Where there is no 'Confined to Perthshire' section, then points will be awarded for prizes won in the Open Competition.
E.g. If only 1 dancer resident in Perthshire is in an Open age group and gains at least 1 prize then that dancer is awarded 137 points towards the league.
If 2 or more dancers gain prizes then as per the new SOBHD Points System (2017) the points gained by the first six Perthshire Dancers over-all in each age group will be awarded as follows:

Prizes
A perpetual trophy will be presented to the winner of the league.
The prize shall be presented to League winner at Pitlochry Highland Games.

Note
1. While a dancer attends College/University, he/she is not required as a student to pay Council Tax and can therefore still be treated as living at his/her original home address for Perthshire qualification to Confined Events. When the period of study is complete, and the dancer lives and works outwith Perthshire, even although the family home is still in Perthshire, then the understanding is that the dancer is 'ordinarily resident' where he/she spends the working week. For the purpose of the Perthshire Dancing League and dancing events Confined to Perthshire, dancers require to be ordinarily resident in Perthshire for 6 months or more at the time of the event.
